Sometimes, being honest with someone at the perfect time snaps ’em out of their cloudy blogging haze. I hope to snap this individual out of blogging lala land, right now.
Being stuck in blogging lala land all but guarantees your struggles, suffering, failure and quitting. Why quit in fantasy land when I can snap you back to reality. Big time difference. Being in reality allows you to succeed if you make that decision. Why not succeed?
I read a question recently. Someone asked if you wrote 10,000 words daily, what are the odds you could make tons of money through your blog? Think it through. Why would you ask this question? What does writing 10,000 words daily even mean? What does it signify? What would you become by writing 10K a day? Is this even sustainable? How?
Why? What do you think? That you get paid for the number of words you write? This is not a job. Pro blogging is a business. Nobody pays you a salary. Nobody pays you by the hour. You are not an employee. Nobody pays you by the word. No correlation exists between the number of words you write and the amount of money you make. Nobody pays you based on the number of words you write or for the number of blog posts you write and publish.
Nobody makes a ton of money online based on blog post volume, word length or any of that crap.
Do you want to make a ton of money blogging? Spend the next 5 to 10 years of your life – some 10,000 to 20,000 hours – generously helping people by publishing content and by befriending blogging big dawgs in your niche. Open multiple streams of income. After blogging generously for 10,000 to 20,000 hours, THEN, and only THEN, does the tons of money flow to you. The money comes after the 10,000 to 20,000 hours of generous work.
Can you see why SO FEW bloggers make a ton of money? Few folks work for 10,000 hours. Most bloggers quit after 4 hours, or 400 hours or even 4,000 hours. Most bloggers ask questions like the question above after blogging-working for 50 hours. When I tell them it requires 10,000 hours of generous service to make tons of money, virtually all bloggers asking such questions quit, immediately.
Greedy, desperate, deluded bloggers have no time to put in 10,000 hours of generous service. These fools need money now. I always suggest to get a job. Jobs give you money now because jobs are salaried, spitting out a set number of dollars based on hours worked or days worked.
Blogging? Different ballgame, amigo.

Create. Connect. Be generous. Monetize through multiple income streams. Lay the foundation for a thriving, prospering blogging campaign.
Blogging gets easier if you cease asking silly questions consistent with employee-thinking and simply get busy creating, connecting, monetizing and building your skill set.
